Welcome!

Thank you for choosing me as your language coach. Let me give you an overview of what you can expect from our first session together, as well as what will happen once you sign up as my “coachee”.

Step 1. The discovery call

Our first call together takes 40-60 minutes and is not a language lesson. Before you can dive in and start learning, first I need to understand what you want to learn and how. Though it is optional, it will save us some time if you fill in the Welcome Form in advance of our call.

The discovery call includes

  1. A quick introduction to Neurolanguage Coaching (you can also read more about it here)

  2. Understanding your motivation for learning

  3. A short diagnostic conversation to assess your level (don't worry - there is no right or wrong here)

  4. Setting your first goals for your language learning. Here is your chance to tell me what you wish to learn or improve, and what kinds of learning methods you particularly enjoy or would rather avoid

  5. Agreeing on a timeline and how much time you wish to commit towards your learning

  6. Any other questions that you may have about working with me.

Step 2. Follow-up & payment

Within a few days of your first call, I will send you a custom-made plan for our first few sessions together, ensuring we are meeting your needs, and anything else we may have agreed on in our first session (such as homework). I will also share your payment options: To set your expectations, a 12-week course with one weekly coaching session usually costs £1800 which can be paid in full or through a payment plan. Or we may have agreed on a different frequency such as a more intensive course - this would naturally change the price.

Step 3. Ongoing sessions

We will focus on 3-5 specific goals that we’ve set during the first session and work towards these. However, as we progress through the course, you may discover new areas to work on or shifting priorities. If there is anything specific you would like to cover in an upcoming session, just let me know anytime.

Step 4. Completing goals

There will come a point when you will have achieved some or all of the goals we set earlier. We usually have a mid-way goal review after 6-7 weeks (as well as at the end of the course), to assess which goals have been completed, which still need more work, and where relevant, any changes that we need to make to progress further.

Step 5. “Onwards and upwards”

I have worked with some clients for a few months and others for over a year. If after 12 weeks you are hungry for more language coaching, we can set new goals and work together on these.

I’m excited to get started working with you!
